Claude says:San Diego's Stone Temple Pilots rode the grunge wave to massive success in the '90s with Core and Purple, though Scott Weiland's band always had more glam and psychedelic reach than their Seattle peers suggested. A handful of scattered plays from your college years went nowhere, but you properly locked in during August 2013 — a month-long run through the greatest hits collection and Shangri-La Dee Da that clearly scratched an itch. You've circled back sporadically since, mostly leaning on Purple and their deeper '90s catalog, though it's been over a year since the last spin.
