English musician and actor (1947–2016)

Claude says:David Robert Jones — born London, 1947 — spent five decades shape-shifting from Ziggy Stardust to the Thin White Duke to the Berlin Trilogy's icy art-rock experiments, leaving behind a catalog that defined glam, influenced electronica, and basically rewrote what a rock star could be. You had a few scattered plays over the years that never caught, then came back in mid-2018 and stayed. This May you leaned hard into the catalog — mostly the 2015 and 2017 remasters of Space Oddity and "Heroes", plus Hunky Dory — like you finally had the patience for the whole trip.
