Claude says:Bowie's second album traded music hall for folk-rock and psychedelia, shaped by breakups and festivals in 1969. The title track — about a doomed astronaut — hit the UK top five that summer and gave him his first real commercial moment, though the album as a whole earned mixed reviews for feeling scattered. You've barely touched it: two plays since 2021, mostly just "Space Oddity" itself, which is really all most people need from this one anyway.
