British musical group; rock band

Claude says:Leicester's Kasabian — formed in 1997 by Tom Meighan and Sergio Pizzorno at Countesthorpe Community College, originally called Saracuse — built a reputation on swaggering alternative rock that critics likened to The Stone Roses crossed with Primal Scream, earning them a Brit Award and a Glastonbury headline slot before Meighan's 2020 exit left Pizzorno as frontman. You had a couple of stray plays in 2006 before it actually clicked in late 2007, then leaned hard into them through 2014 (peak year) with steady bursts ever since, returning this past year after a three-year gap — the self-titled debut and 48:13 still getting the most spins, "Club Foot" and "(Shiva)" at the top of the pile.
