Claude says:Sergio Pizzorno produced this fifth Kasabian record himself after six months in the studio, stripping layers back instead of adding them — the band called it their most direct and honest work, mixing the hip-hop swagger of their debut with the space-rock of their recent stuff, influenced by everything from Kanye to Death Grips to Led Zeppelin. You grabbed it the month it dropped in 2014 and spent the summer bouncing between "Bumblebeee" (that Beastie Boys dub meets Rage Against the Machine chorus) and the interludes like "(Shiva)" and "(Mortis)", coming back hardest that October before cycling through it in waves ever since.
