American rock band

Houndmouth is a New Albany, Indiana roots-rock quartet that caught Rough Trade's attention at SXSW 2012 and turned their homemade EP into a deal, releasing their Letterman-worthy debut From the Hills Below the City the next year. You latched onto them in April 2021 — probably through Little Neon Limelight and "Sedona" — had a solid run through early 2022, then let them drift. They were a dependable americana fix for a minute, but the habit didn't stick.
