Claude says:Houndmouth's New Albany quartet wrote this one during the pandemic at The Green House, a 19th-century shotgun house owned by their drummer's family — ten songs recorded in the same Indiana rooms where they were conceived. The album leans into warm, unhurried indie rock with roots undertones, less twang than their early work but still grounded in their Midwest alt-blues roots. You gave it a quick spin in early 2022, hitting "Las Vegas" and "McKenzie" twice before moving on.
