British indie rock band

Claude says:Bloc Party formed in London in 1999 around Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack, broke through with 2005's Silent Alarm, and became a cornerstone of the 2000s post-punk revival before lineup changes and hiatuses reshaped them. You had scattered plays across nearly two decades — a few songs here and there from Silent Alarm and A Weekend In the City — but it finally clicked in mid-2025, and now you're deep in the later records too, leaning hard on A Weekend In the City and the urgency of "Song for Clay (Disappear Here)."
