Claude says:Bloc Party commissioned this remix album in 2005 to prove dance music mattered to rock bands, handing Silent Alarm tracks to Ladytron, Four Tet, Mogwai, Engineers, and Death from Above 1979. You grabbed it right when it came out and burned through it hard that first month — the Phones disco edit of "Banquet," Ladytron's Zapatista take on "Like Eating Glass," Engineers turning "Blue Light" weightless. A few stray plays over the years since, but nothing like that initial rush.
