American indie rock band

Claude says:Young the Giant started in Irvine in 2004 as the Jakes — an acronym of the original members' first names — before signing to Roadrunner and rebranding in 2010 with frontman Sameer Gadhia and a lineup that's stuck ever since. You had a handful of stray plays scattered across more than a decade, but it wasn't until summer last year that something clicked and you started pulling from their entire catalog — Mind Over Matter, Mirror Master, the self-titled, and especially Victory Garden. It's been a steady companion ever since, the kind of band that works equally well as background energy or full-attention focus.
