American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1989

Jakob Dylan's vehicle started as a roots rock band in Los Angeles but has long centered on him as a solo project, fronting a rotating cast that's included future Foo Fighters and Rock Hall inductees. You had one stray play back in 2006, then Bringing Down The Horse properly clicked in 2010 and you've kept circling back — heaviest in late 2012 when you worked through the Collected comp and Glad All Over, but you still pull "One Headlight" and "Three Marlenas" when you need that mid-90s heartache-and-purpose vibe Dylan does so well.
