American rock band

Claude says:Spoon is an Austin rock band that formed in 1993 around Britt Daniel and Jim Eno, named after the Can song from the Jagged Edge soundtrack. They sharpened their post-punk minimalism across a string of albums on Matador, Elektra, and Merge — Girls Can Tell, Kill the Moonlight, Gimme Fiction, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga — before landing on Loma Vista and eventually cycling back to Matador for 2022's Lucifer on the Sofa. You've got scattered plays going back to 2008, but it really clicked in late 2021 when you started pulling apart the whole catalog — Kill the Moonlight's precision, the remastered Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, the newer Lucifer — and this summer it came roaring back with "The Underdog" and "Wild" on constant repeat.
