Northern Irish–Scottish musical group; rock band

Claude says:Snow Patrol started in Dundee in 1994 as Shrug, a scrappy university band briefly called Polarbear before settling on the name that stuck. Gary Lightbody's been the through-line since the start, leading them from indie obscurity through Final Straw's post-Britpop breakthrough and Eyes Open's monster success — "Chasing Cars" became the most-played song of the 21st century on UK radio. You've kept them in steady background rotation since 2006, mostly leaning on Final Straw and Fallen Empires, with "Run" and "Called Out in the Dark" getting the most spins. They've never dominated your listening, but you've quietly worked through the whole catalog over the years, even picking up The Forest Is the Path when it dropped in 2024.
