South African musician

Claude says:South African-born, Boulder-based Gregory Alan Isakov immigrated with his family in '86 and grew up in Philadelphia before moving west to study horticulture at Naropa — he still gardens between tours. You discovered him in 2015 with The Weatherman, set him aside for a couple years, then came back in early 2018. Since then he's become a steady presence: you've cycled through That Sea, The Gambler, This Empty Northern Hemisphere, and Evening Machines, leaning on "The Stable Song" and "Big Black Car" when you need that wide-sky folk clarity.
