French electronic duo

Claude says:Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo adopted robot personas in 1999 — silver helmet, gold helmet — and spent two decades as the helmeted heart of French house, from the funk loops of Homework to the Nile Rodgers-laced disco of Random Access Memories. You had a few scattered encounters over the years, but it clicked properly in spring 2025, right around Random Access Memories and that inescapable Pharrell hook. The duo split in 2021, so this is listening to a finished catalog, not chasing new releases.
