English singer and songwriter

Claude says:Benjamin John Howard was born in southwest London in 1987 and grew up near Totnes, Devon, raised on his parents' records of John Martyn, Van Morrison, and Joni Mitchell — the kind of household where you start writing songs at eleven and eventually win two Brits in 2013 (Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough). You latched on to him early in 2013, around the time Every Kingdom was being certified triple platinum, then came back hard in recent years — that darker second album, I Forget Where We Were, has become the bedrock now, with "In Dreams" at the top of your heap and half the record among your most-played tracks.
