Claude says:The Midnight is the Los Angeles synthwave duo of producer Tim McEwan and vocalist/guitarist Tyler Lyle, who met at a 2012 songwriting workshop and bonded over '80s rock despite coming from wildly different musical backgrounds. This 2023 live album captures the shimmer and sweep of their catalog in front of an actual crowd — synth arpeggios, driving basslines, and Lyle's earnest baritone all hitting harder with that electric room energy. You picked it up a year after release in October 2024 and played it intensely for one month, leaning heaviest on "Change Your Heart or Die," "Days of Thunder," and "Deep Blue."
