alternative rock

Birmingham kids who got plucked by Radiohead off a demo tape and moved to LA, Remy Zero spent the late '90s placing moody alt-rock in teen dramas before splitting after The Golden Hum. You caught this one during the Garden State era — a stray play in summer '06, then it clicked a few months later, probably off "Fair" soundtracking Zach Braff's existential playlist. You lived with it briefly that fall and moved on.
