Claude says:Metric's self-released fourth album arrived in 2009 and went straight to the top of Billboard's Heatseekers chart — unusual enough that The New York Times used them as Exhibit A in a piece about major labels losing their grip. It gave them their biggest alt-rock moment, with "Gimme Sympathy" all over alternative radio and the record shortlisted for the Polaris Prize. You've barely touched it — a stray play in 2012, then scattered listens years later, mostly landing on "Gimme Sympathy," "Help I'm Alive," and "Gold Guns Girls."
