Claude says:Anthony Gonzalez made this double album after relocating from France to Los Angeles, shaped by road trips to Joshua Tree and tours with the Killers and Depeche Mode — he wanted the ambition of Mellon Collie, with each track having a sibling on the other disc, all in service of mapping how dreams change from childhood to adulthood. You grabbed it right when it came out in early 2012 and came back to it after more than a decade away, with the most plays happening that first month and then again starting in mid-2024.
