Claude says:Anthony Gonzalez made this double album after moving from France to Los Angeles, recording at Sunset Sound and inspired by road trips to Joshua Tree — a sprawling 22-track reflection on how dreams shift from childhood through adulthood, his last record with keyboardist Morgan Kibby. You grabbed it the summer after release and burned through it in a single month, lingering on "Claudia Lewis" and "Echoes of Mine" more than the hit, then let it fade without a trace.
