Claude says:Rick Rubin stripped away the nu-metal formula that defined their first two records, pushing them toward cleaner guitars, more space, and Chester singing without the safety net of heavy production — a polarizing pivot that still moved 623,000 copies in its first week. You grabbed it right at release in May 2007 and burned through it hard that summer, leaning heaviest on the raw-throated outbursts like "Bleed It Out" and "Given Up" over the radio single. After a long break, you've circled back in scattered bursts since 2019, still pulling up those same aggressive cuts when the mood strikes.
