The Goldsmith brothers from Los Angeles have spent two decades refining a Laurel Canyon folk-rock sound that nods to the '70s without feeling stuck there. Oh Brother arrived in 2024 with their usual warmth and guitar interplay, leaning into storytelling over hooks. You grabbed it right away that October and worked through most of the tracklist — "Mister Los Angeles," "Front Row Seat," "Hilarity Ensues" — but it didn't stick past November.
