Claude says:Damien Rice left his band Juniper in the late '90s, busked across Europe, then returned to Dublin and recorded the demos that became his 2002 debut O — spare, emotionally raw folk that made him a fixture on mid-2000s soundtracks. This Union Chapel set captures that intensity live: voice, guitar, and the kind of hush that makes "Delicate" and "The Blower's Daughter" feel like confessions. You picked it up in late 2009, a year after O had already soundtracked half the indie dramas you watched, and kept "Cannonball" and "Volcano" in rotation through the end of that year and a brief return in 2011.
