Released August 21, 2020

alternative rockindieindie popindie rockrock

Long Beach indie rockers who built a cult following after their 2006 breakthrough Robbers & Cowards, Cold War Kids kept evolving through the 2010s under Nathan Willett's vocals and piano. New Age Norms 2 — the second installment in a trilogy released across 2019–2020 — leans into polished alternative rock with hooks that stick. You grabbed it the month it dropped in 2020 and wore it out immediately, then let it sit until 2025 when "Who's Gonna Love Me Now" and "Somewhere" pulled you back in for another run.
