Claude says:The trio of silent blue performers released this debut in 1999 as a full-length instrumental outing featuring the homemade PVC instruments and industrial percussion from their off-Broadway show. The tracks pulse with found-object rhythms, synth textures, and percussive frameworks that split the difference between art installation and actual grooves. You picked it up in fall 2006, seven years after release, and it stayed in steady play through late 2007 — Drumbone and the Mandelbrot pieces getting the most attention before fading out by 2010.
