Claude says:Beck wrote most of Sea Change in a week after a brutal breakup, then shelved it — trading his cryptic wordplay and sample collages for live instrumentation and Nigel Godrich's spare production. It became one of his most acclaimed records, a heartbreak album so direct it felt like a different artist.
