Claude says:Beck's fifth album became his commercial peak and critical landmark — a hip-hop-focused collage built with the Dust Brothers in their Silver Lake studio, pulling samples from stacks of vinyl to create something that straddled alt-rock, funk breaks, and lo-fi psychedelia. You had a few stray listens scattered across years before it properly clicked in fall 2017, two decades after release, and since then you've kept "Devils Haircut" and "Where It's At" in steady rotation without ever disappearing into the record completely.
