Claude says:Beck's seventh album arrived in late 1999 as a funk-soaked, Prince-flavored departure — synth breakdowns cribbing Grandmaster Flash, Kraftwerk sequencer spirals on "Get Real Paid," and a digipak sleeve for the first half-million copies. You picked it up in September 2016, seventeen years after release, and burned through it hard that same month before letting it drift away.
