American electronica duo based in Washington, D.C.

Claude says:Rob Garza and Eric Hilton started Thievery Corporation in 1995 at D.C.'s Eighteenth Street Lounge, blending dub, bossa nova, and Indian classical into a downtempo sound that helped define late-nineties lounge and chill-out culture.
