English rock band

Claude says:St Albans teenagers who met outside a pub in 1962 (too young to go in), named themselves after bassist Paul Arnold's suggestion, and built baroque pop masterpieces around Rod Argent's Mellotron and Colin Blunstone's weightless voice—Odessey and Oracle made Rolling Stone's 500 greatest despite commercial indifference at the time. You had a few stray listens scattered across the 2010s before it properly clicked in 2019, and since then they've stayed in reach—"This Will Be Our Year" and the whole Odessey run still land when you need that blend of sunlit melancholy and studio craft.
