American indie rock band

Claude says:Adam Granduciel's Philadelphia band started in 2005 with Kurt Vile (who left after their 2008 debut to go solo), found critical acclaim with 2014's Lost in the Dream—written through a stretch of depression and isolation—and won a Grammy for 2017's A Deeper Understanding. You had a couple of stray plays in 2021 and early '22, but it didn't really click until August 2022, when you leaned hard into Lost in the Dream and I Don't Live Here Anymore. Since then it's been a steady fixture—"Red Eyes" and "Burning" still hit, and you keep circling back whenever you need that widescreen, highway-at-dusk feeling.
