English musical group; pop group formed in the early 1960s

Claude says:English pop outfit from Salford who hit their stride in the mid-'60s with a run of hook-heavy singles — Allan Clarke and Graham Nash started it in '62, Bobby Elliott anchored the kit, and Tony Hicks stayed the course through every lineup shift, including Nash's 1968 exit to form CSN. You landed on them in early 2019, likely through "Long Cool Woman" or "The Air That I Breathe," then circled back in summer 2024 for another spin through Distant Light — those '72 grooves still hold up.
