Claude says:The Clash formed in London in 1976 and became known as "The Only Band That Matters" — Joe Strummer on rhythm guitar and vocals, Mick Jones on lead, Paul Simonon on bass, Nicky "Topper" Headon on drums — fusing punk with reggae, dub, ska, and rockabilly across landmark records like London Calling and Combat Rock.
