British electronic music band

Claude says:Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands met at University of Manchester in 1989, bonded over the Haçienda scene, and became The Chemical Brothers after a name change forced by American producers. Their big beat anthems topped UK charts through the late '90s and early 2000s, racking up Grammys and collaborations with everyone from Noel Gallagher to St. Vincent. You've caught them twice in seventeen years — a glimpse of "Surrender" back in 2009, then "Go" this fall — but never enough to call it a thing.
