canadian-American indie folk band

Two American brothers who moved to Montreal and built a band around a neighbor's harp — Brad Barr knocked on the door after hearing Sarah Pagé practice next door, and The Barr Brothers grew from there, pulling in Malian rhythms, Delta blues, and homemade percussion. A handful of stray plays over the years, then it caught in January this year with Sleeping Operator, their second album that explores connections between Delta blues and its West/North African ancestry.
