American musician

Timothy Showalter grew up in Goshen, Indiana, left basketball behind after developing juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and later weathered a house fire and the end of his marriage in Pennsylvania before building Strand of Oaks into a project that swings between folk-rock grit and synth-laced surrealism across eight albums. You caught on hard in July, working through Heal and the brand-new Miracle Focus in the same stretch — "HEAL" and "Wait For Love" hit heaviest, but you're already deep into the newer record's sprawl.
