American rock band

Claude says:Seattle grunge architects formed in 1984, fronted by Chris Cornell and anchored by Kim Thayil's sludgy riffs — the first of the Seattle wave to sign with Sub Pop, then the first to jump to a major label. You had a lone play back in 2008 that went nowhere, but something clicked in mid-2012 and Superunknown became a fixture, the psychedelic heft of "Black Hole Sun" and "Spoonman" pulling you back through long gaps and multiple runs over the years. Even after Cornell's death in 2017, you keep circling back — February 2026 was your heaviest month yet.
