Claude says:Rogue Wave is Zach Schwartz's Oakland indie-pop project, born after the dot-com crash sent him to New York in 2002 to record what became Out of the Shadow with friend Bill Racine. A few stray plays in 2007 didn't land, but you came around in late 2012 and kept returning across big gaps — quiet years followed by stretches where the band surged back into rotation, peaking hard in 2024. Asleep At Heaven's Gate is the clear anchor, with "Lake Michigan" and a whole run of its tracks still in reach when you need that particular blend of California jangle and wistful hooks.
