American indie rock band

Claude says:Ra Ra Riot came out of Syracuse in 2006, built a reputation on frantic live energy, and then endured the drowning death of their drummer John Ryan Pike in 2007 — a tragedy that nearly ended them before they'd even released a full-length. You caught The Rhumb Line years later in spring 2022, circled back to it once the following year, and grabbed a track off Need Your Light this past summer. They haven't stuck, but you know the baroque-pop hooks well enough to revisit when the mood strikes.
