Canadian rock band

Claude says:Toronto's Our Lady Peace — led by Raine Maida's erratic, unrivaled voice — hit Diamond in Canada with 1997's Clumsy and spent the late '90s stacking No. 1 singles before pivoting sharply on 2002's Gravity, a slicker, more radio-ready departure that Maida called "vastly different" from the band's signature sound. You got into them in late 2006 and spent the next few years deep in Gravity and Clumsy, with occasional runs back through the catalog — "Innocent" and "Superman's Dead" still anchor the rotation, though the pace has slowed since the mid-2010s.
