English electronic musician and producer (born 1979)

Claude says:Jonathan Julian Hopkins grew up in Wimbledon, got hooked on synths after hearing early house music on the radio as a kid, and studied piano at the Royal College of Music before landing in Imogen Heap's backing band at seventeen. He's since produced for Brian Eno and Coldplay, scored films, and released albums like Immunity and Singularity that racked up Mercury Prize and Grammy nominations. You caught two tracks — "Candles" and a film cue — in early 2022, but nothing since, so Hopkins remains a name you've barely engaged with.
