American crunkcore group

Claude says:Family Force 5 started as The Brothers in Atlanta — three sons of late-'80s Christian artist Jerome Olds — then cycled through Ground Noise and The Phamily before landing on their current name in 2006 to dodge a Prince copyright dispute. They signed a dual deal with Maverick and Gotee to straddle the Christian and mainstream markets, mixing crunkcore, dance-pop, and rap into a party-centric sound that deliberately avoided the CCM aesthetic. You picked up "Cadillac Phunque" back in 2009 but didn't circle back until a brief 2017 burst with "BZRK" and a Matoma remix — curiosity more than conversion.
