American rock band

Amy Lee and Ben Moody started Evanescence in Little Rock in 1994, spending years in the indie trenches before Fallen turned them into gothic-rock royalty in 2003 — "Bring Me to Life" went stratospheric, the album moved four million copies by early 2004, and they picked up a pair of Grammys. You've got a handful of plays scattered across two decades, mostly circling back to Fallen when the mood strikes, but it's never stuck around long enough to become a thing.
