American actor and comedian

Claude says:Dane Cook built a massive fanbase in the mid-2000s through MySpace and personal web savvy before most comedians understood the internet, making him one of the first to use those platforms to grow his audience. His observational, often vulgar style powered albums like Retaliation (the highest-charting comedy record in nearly three decades) and the HBO special Vicious Circle, and he was the second comedian (after Andrew Dice Clay) to sell out Madison Square Garden's main arena. You got into him in late 2007 during that peak, came back to him in 2012, then revisited once more in 2018 and early 2019 before letting it rest.
