American musical group (1989 – )

Claude says:Seattle drone metal project led by Dylan Carlson, who founded the band Earth in Olympia in 1989 and became a pioneer of the genre with Earth 2's 75-minute feedback marathons. You were into this in 2006–2007, right around the time Carlson cleaned up and steered Earth away from its early sludge toward quieter, country-tinged terrain — though judging by the demo tracks you keep coming back to, you're drawn to the heavier, more punishing stuff. A few scattered plays over the years, then a brief resurgence in 2023, as if checking whether it still hits the same.
