Claude says:Max McElligott recorded this debut entirely alone — every piano line, drum hit, and horn part — then handed it to Dave Fridmann (MGMT, Flaming Lips) to shape into something between symphonic indie rock and electronic shimmer. You grabbed it in late 2013, two years after its release, and burned through it hard for a month — the title track, "The King and All of His Men," "Lions In Cages" — then let it go. A few stray plays surfaced over a decade later, but this was a brief, intense chapter that never quite reopened.
