Claude says:Weezer dropped this out of nowhere in January 2019—their first all-covers album, produced by Dave Sitek—just weeks before the already-announced Black Album, catching everyone off guard. You jumped on it immediately that February, burning through "Take on Me," "Billie Jean," and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" hardest, though "Africa" and "No Scrubs" got plenty of spin too. A couple stray plays in the years since, but that initial month was the whole story.
