Claude says:This is the 1975 film soundtrack that Pete Townshend reworked from the Who's 1969 original, bringing in synthesizers to realize the orchestral scope he'd imagined and recruiting session heavyweights like Nicky Hopkins and Ronnie Wood. Elton John's "Pinball Wizard" (backed by his own band, not the Who) became the most famous piece, but Townshend produced and played on nearly everything else. You've only given it a couple of spins since 2019 — enough to recognize "Pinball Wizard" but not enough to dig into the rest of this sprawling double album.
