Claude says:The White Stripes closed out their run with this bruising final album, tracked fast at Nashville's Blackbird Studio in January 2007. The title track — a garage-rock stomper with a chaotic Univox synth solo and angular tempo shifts — took direct aim at anti-immigration hypocrisy, making it their first overtly political single since "The Big Three Killed My Baby." You grabbed it in late 2012, five years after release, and ran the title track and "You Don't Know What Love Is" hard through the winter and into spring 2013 before drifting away.
